"For what
great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the
LORD our God is to us, whenever we call upon him?" (Deut.
4:7)
With
Jesus as our Great High Priest, one of the great privileges
that a child of God possesses is to confidently approach
"the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and final
grace to help us in time of need" (Heb. 4:16). The Bible
says, "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray....
The prayer of faith will save the one who is sick.... The
prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working"
(James 5:13-16).
At
FPC, we are committed to pray for each other. In this manner,
we desire to "bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill
the law of Christ" (Gal. 6:2). When God's people face trial,
they are encouraged to "call for the elders of the church,
and let them pray" for them (James 5:14). We, the elders
of FPC, want to pray for you. If your heart is heavy over
any matter, we invite you to share it with us.
We promise
to pray for you.
Please
be assured that all prayer requests will be kept confidential
within the Session of FPC
(that is, the elders).
You may use the space below to share you prayer request
with us.
